Profession of faith

We believe and confess the following:

  1. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are, in their original manuscripts, the inspired Word of God. Therefore, the Bible contains all that God intended to reveal about salvation and is the sole and absolute standard for faith and life.
  1. The living and true God is one, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  2. God the Father created all things, sustains them, and governs them. He sovereignly chooses people for salvation and accomplishes the plan of redemption.
  3. God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, was crucified for the sins of all people, died, was buried, rose bodily on the third day, ascended to heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God, serving as our High Priest. He will return bodily in the future.
  4. God the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts people of sin, righteousness, and judgment, causes them to be born again, unites them with Christ, and assures their salvation. The Holy Spirit indwells all believers, sanctifies them, and works as their Helper, Teacher, and Guide.
  5. Humanity was created in the image of God, but through the temptation of Satan, our ancestor Adam broke God’s commandment and sinned, severing fellowship with God. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature, and their thoughts, words, and deeds are sinful. Therefore, all are under spiritual and physical death and destined for eternal judgment.
  6. Through God’s election and faith in Christ, people are forgiven of their sins, justified, and transferred from death to life because of Christ’s substitutionary death and resurrection. They become children of God and are transformed to be like His Son. Once saved, they are never lost but preserved eternally.
  7. The church is the body of Christ, composed of those called out by the Holy Spirit, with Christ as its head. The church observes worship, administers the sacraments, fulfills the mission of evangelism, and awaits the return of the Lord.
  8. God has appointed a day to judge the world. On that day, the Lord Jesus Christ will return, and those who believe in Him will be raptured to meet the Lord. Afterward, He will establish His millennial kingdom on earth. Satan will be judged and cast into eternal punishment. All people will be resurrected bodily: the saved will receive eternal blessings, and the lost will face eternal punishment.
